As a child, I used journaling to explore all the things I didn’t have. I wrote a sort of idealized life that was very different from my own (in that version of my life I had brothers instead of five sisters).

In my 20s I started earning my living as a freelance writer. But it wasn’t until my mid-30s that I got serious about journaling as a personal discovery tool.

I write in my journal daily. I use journaling to figure out what I want in life, to vent about what’s not going right, and to get out all of those judgy thoughts I don’t want to let take up residence in my brain.

A consistent journaling practice has transformed my life. And I want to help you get the same results!

Is Bliss Writers Project for me?

Personally, I think a daily journaling practice is something everyone should adopt. If you’ve been struggling to stick to journaling, don’t feel like you’re getting enough out of journaling, or are looking for a new way to advance your personal growth, Bliss Writers Project will help you.

But what if I’m not a very good writer?

You don’t have to be! Your journal is your own private tool for personal growth. You don’t ever have to show it to anyone. In fact, some people even burn or otherwise dispose of their journals when they finish each one (though you certainly don’t have to do that). Spelling, grammar, punctuation—none of it matters in your journal! You’re writing for you, not anyone else.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

If you decide Bliss Writers Project isn’t a good fit for you, you can cancel at any time. You’ll have access for the rest of the month you’ve already paid for, but you won’t be billed again.

What do I need to join?

All you need to join is a commitment to personal discovery through journaling and something to journal in. I definitely recommend you use a paper journal, but digital journals are fine, too!

What do I get in the Bliss Writers Project membership?

You get access to the private Bliss Writers Project Facebook group, which includes regular writing prompts that will help you on your path to personal discovery, discussions with others on a similar path, and weekly videos about personal discovery and journaling. The group is still young, so I’ll also be adding more benefits based on what the group needs and wants!

How much of my time will it require?

As much or as little as you want to invest. This is truly a “you get what you put in” kind of group. If all you can dedicate is five minutes per day for journaling, that’s fine! If you have more time to invest, great!

What if I’ve never journaled before?

That’s totally fine! If you’re completely new to journaling, you’ll get a ton of benefits from all the writing prompts and videos I’ll be sharing. Plus, you’ll have a supportive community to help you if you’re struggling to get started (or keep going). Writing prompts can help you develop a daily journaling ritual, as you won’t be left wondering what to write about.
